About Tela

Tela's Name

Tela ("TEE-luh") is named after a Phish song. ​The name is both a nod to one of our favorite bands and to her exquisite teal color.

Tela's People

Tela joined the Carlucci family in the spring of 2021, after many years of pining, researching, and combing the web for the perfect bus. When Dan & Tracy were planning their wedding in 2012, they searched high and low for a bus to rent for their special day, but at that time, there were no rental options in the Northeast. The Langan VW Dealership came to their rescue and generously loaned a 1967 Deluxe 21 Window Samba VW bus from their showroom. That bus brought so much joy to their wedding day and inspired them to eventually own a bus that they too could share with others.

​Besides being VW enthusiasts, Tracy & Dan are musicians and direct Fairfield School of Music. Tracy is a pianist, accompanist and Music Director at Christ Church Easton. Dan is a guitarist & songwriter, performing solo and with his bluegrass band, Hitch & the Giddyup. They have two children, ages 5 & 9, who love going on family adventures with Tela, especially camping in Vermont each summer.
